Jessie Ball - Owner / Event Planner

 

Jessie Ball is the owner and creator of “Every Night’s A Ball” Event Planning company. Her whole life has been spent throwing parties, planning social events and generally making the world around her sparkle.

Her background includes an Associates degree in Interior Design as well as an Advanced Visual Communications Associate focusing on Film Production, Production Design, and Set Decoration from FIDM (The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising).  She is also a member of the Art Directors Guild and has worked in the entertainment industry since 2005 as an Assistant Art Director and Production Designer on shows such as Disney’s “Sonny With A Chance” and “So Random”, TV One’s “Love That Girl”, and the Nick at Nite hit “Instant Mom”.

In an attempt to further her experience and knowledge base, Jessie has also completed an extensive course on Event and Wedding Planning through QC Event School earning her IEWP (International Event and Wedding Professional) Certificate, as well as receiving a Certificate of Merit for exceptional work and creativity.

Jessie was incredible. We hired her as a day of coordinator for our wedding in Late September. We decided on a coordinator pretty late in the process and met her for the first time in August.

I was hesitant at the idea of a coordinator. Most of the planning had been done at that point and each of our venues had their own manager or coordinator. However, after speaking with Jessie for the first time she made her role clear and her enthusiasm blew us away.

She did so much more then just show up the day of and keep us on schedule. She contacted all the vendors weeks prior, provided them with contact sheets and schedules. She helped us plan and organize our rehearsal and dealt with some unique personalities in the process. She also helped us create  the entire schedule from when we should be getting ready in the morning to when the flowers should arrive.

The day of the wedding though she was just amazing. She went to the venue early to ensure everything was where it was supposed to be and even sent pictures to my wife to comfort her. She was the main contact person for any manager, coordinator, or guest who had a question about anything that night so that we did not have to worry about anything. She sewed up my wife’s dress when a piece of lace had torn off and even a guests dress who had a wardrobe malfunction. She even went back to the brides hotel room to pick up her garter after she forgot to put on ( we didn’t realize it until midway through the reception)

We hired Jessie to be our Day of Coordinator for our wedding in May and were very thankful that we did. She helped to run our rehearsal the day before and on the day of made sure everything was set up and in its place before the ceremony and reception and made sure everything was packed away when it all was over. With her guidance, all of the details we had spent so many months planning and plotting over were brought to life and we were able to relax and enjoy every special moment. Jessie has been awesome to work with so far. When we initially met with her, she was very nice and cordial, but also laid back and chill. She seemed like someone I can really trust to handle my wedding. I hired her for “day of” coordination, but she assured me that it’s not really day of coordination. It’s more month of coordination. What really got me is that she loves doing DIY stuff and I’m a very DIY type of bride. So she said she would be able to help with ideas and I can even send her an invite to my wedding Pinterest so she can pin some ideas and get a feel for what I’m looking for, stylistically. She’s definitely worth the money!

I have attended a few parties where Jessie Ball at Every Night’s a Ball was the event planner/coordinator. I was always very impressed with what I saw. This past holiday season I planned 3 parties at my home in a 6 day window. Out of my mind most people told me. I decided it was worth my sanity to give Jessie and her company a try. From the beginning she was responsive, gave me some great direction. She listened to what I wanted to do and never pushed her ideas over what I wanted. I will say that all of her suggestions were great! She gave me options so I always felt like I was making the choices. Not to mention she was easy to work with and when she showed up the day of the event and I was stressed, she smiled and did what ever necessary to make my parties perfect.
